The sculpture consists of several interconnected, organically shaped elements that evoke human or animal body parts yet remain abstract. They appear to be crafted from a material with a rough, porous texture. The color scheme blends teal-green and bronze/gold, featuring translucent red undertones. The teal-green is applied unevenly, resembling patina or weathering in places. Gold accents are prominently highlighted on raised areas and curves, lending the sculpture a metallic sheen. Small, irregular speckles—resembling tiny bubbles or surface imperfections—are visible across the entire surface, all coated in paint.
The base is block-like, reminiscent of several roughly hewn columns or legs standing side by side. Here, too, the coloring is a blend of teal-green and bronze/red.
The sculpture’s title, "The Plowmen" (*Die Pflüger*), and the allusion to the farmers' arduous daily toil invite an interpretation of the figures as struggling, straining, or supporting one another as they engage in grueling labor. The curved and twisted forms may symbolize this hardship and struggle, while the golden sheen could express a sense of honor or appreciation for the work itself.
